It usually turns out differently than you think. The entrepreneur's daughter Isabella Meinhardt had to experience this when she returned to Germany after studying for years in distant Japan. Her father Friedrich asked her to come home - and Isabella is convinced that she already knows the reason for this: she should take over the management of the traditional Meinhardt automobile works at his side. The shock is all the greater when she learns the real reason for her visit: In front of the assembled crowd, the widowed Friedrich does not announce his collaboration with his daughter, but his engagement to the public prosecutor Viola Kassen. Isabella, who had no idea of the new woman at her father's side, is stunned. She and her father have always had a very distant relationship, and this time Isabella feels ignored by this in two ways. An old man and a teenage boy, both neo-nazis are travelling across Germany to take funds to the party headquarters. On the way they encounter a young woman and things become difficult.
